Getting ready for 7th grade math!

By now, you have fully embraced that in just over a month, you will be a middle school student!  You're excited and terrified all at the same time.  There's no doubt in my mind you've heard how mean and evil we are!  So, let's just get it out there:  I'm mean.  I expect you to do your part of the work.  I expect you to be respectful.  I expect you to LEARN what I TEACH and remember it for more than a week. I also expect to have fun, laugh a lot, get frustrated, be happy, and to be as stress free as possible!  Yep, I'm mean.  I'm mean- because I care about you, your education, and your future, and I want you to be the best.

It's time to make sure you are up to the task!  We start strong and heavy in 7th grade!  There's much to learn and such a little time to teach it!  To make it easier on you, here are a few suggestions to help you make a smoother transition.  First- take advantage of boredom!  Get on Study Island and review all of the 6th grade math!  You can play the games or just do the work.  Second- make sure you know how to:  add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, integers, decimals and fractions.  If you have that stuff down, 7th grade will be a breeze!

Good luck! See you on August 3rd!
